Our Origin
Innovation Rooted in Experience
Fallinje was born from over two decades of deep immersion in the ski industry. Founder Leif Sunde’s journey began as a technician for World Cup and Olympic athletes, where he gained firsthand knowledge of what elite performance demands from ski equipment. This hands-on expertise expanded into product and process consulting for leading North American ski brands, some of whom are now our partners, where Leif identified a persistent problem: traditional ski construction methods were outdated, inefficient, and fundamentally limiting innovation and quality.Through years of collaboration with athletes and manufacturers, Leif witnessed the bottlenecks of legacy ski manufacturing—wasteful, labor-intensive, and resistant to change. The realization that the industry was held back by multi-material, multi-step production processes led to the founding of Fallinje. Our mission is clear: to rethink ski construction from the core out, delivering breakthrough performance and manufacturability without compromise.
